Thrayambika Vidya Mandir follows the curriculum recommended by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English. At this stage learning is more formal with further diversification of subjects-Science into Biology, Physics & Chemistry; Mathematics into Algebra; Geometry & Arithmetic; Social Studies into History, Geography, Civics and Economics. However the core values of TVM remain intact. The children are encouraged to learn through understanding and doing.
Assessment
The academic year comprises of two semesters:
Semester I – June to September & Semester II – October to March. First term will have one periodic assessment and one half yearly examination and Second term will have one periodic assessment and an annual examination for evaluation of Scholastic Area. In addition to Scholastic areas, Co-scholastic activities like regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork will also be assessed. Students are assessed as per the pattern prescribed by the CBSE Board. This system of evaluation consists of Worksheets, Presentations, Assignments, Activities and Projects. All promotions are based on the performance of the student in all the class and the evaluations conducted during the academic year.
